Currey & Company Sunbird Wood Floor Lamp

$853.60

Product Details

The undulant shape of the Sunbird Wood Floor Lamp is achieved when wood is rotated on a machine to carve its outline. This requires great skill because it has to be manipulated at 90-degree angles to create both the smoothness of the surface and the knottiness of the shape. Ian Thornton was playing around with profiles to see what interesting shapes he might achieve when he conceived this graceful design. The tan lamp sits atop a metal base in a brass finish and is topped with an off-white shantung shade.
