These delicately textured and woven baskets were made by groups of women across Uganda in an ethical, fair trade environment. They weaver together raffia and grass to achieve these incredible pieces of art.

Products are made from all natural fibers of raffia and banana fibers
Organic dyes are used to dye the raffia

Made in an ethical, fair trade environment. Handwoven by a cooperative of women located in rural Uganda this one of a kind piece takes days to complete.

Made of natural fibers and grass; do not submerge in water.
If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe or spot clean the basket.

Due to being all natural fibers, keep dyed products out of direct sunlight for long periods of time to avoid natural fading.
All natural products with little or no coloring do well in direct sunlight.  Avoid major temperature changes when possible or moisture build up.

One weaver, Conclilide, describes her success journey with KAZI and the confidence and work ethic women weavers have in their society “I didn't let being a woman stop me from succeeding in life...women are responsible and spend to improve daily life as well as society. We are good at communicating and quick to understand every situation.

Standard Delivery:

Small or medium items will be left at the threshold of dwelling and no signature will be required. Any large items will go by freight carrier, curbside delivery, and require an appointment.  See curbside delivery for further explanation.

Curbside Delivery:

Item will be brought to driveway or curb.  Signature required. Carrier will contact for an appointment time.  Select White Glove if wanting to upgrade to inside delivery/set up for additional charge. 

Threshold Delivery:

Delivered to first door or dry area. Signature required.  Carrier will contact for an appointment time. Select White Glove if wanting to upgrade to inside delivery/set up for additional charge. 

White Glove Delivery:

Item will be delivered and carried to a room of choice, assembled (if needed), and all packaging removed.  Signature required.  Carrier will contact for an appointment time.
