Lucky Bookends

The Lucky Bookends take the shape of a classic horseshoe, each hand-cast in metal and finished entirely in gold leaf, the pitted surface lending the rough character of a well-worn shoe. Nail holes follow the curve and squared heels finish each end, details drawn directly from traditional horseshoes. Each shoe stands open end up, the traditional way to keep the luck in, mounted on a block of polished Carrara marble with a felted bottom that protects the surface below. Together, the Lucky Bookends bring a touch of folk charm and good fortune to a study, office, or living room shelf.
