Description

The graphic simplicity of these drawings seems more akin to elements of contemporary design than to an 1884 scientific study. This may be why the work of Irish botanist William Henry Harvey is one of the foundational inspirations of Natural Curiosities, and the edition of Psychologica Britannica, from which these images were sourced, remains a beloved volume in our collection.
